Millennium? I'll give you kids Millennium!

I find it amusing to put the year as one digit ("1/2/1") instead of two digits ("1/2/01"). With any luck, I'll get over it sometime in the next nine years.

For today's article, I'm going to point over to Teevee where I recently expounded on the "real" millennium. There was a time when I would have been one of the loudest people shouting about how dumb everyone was to think that the millennium ended with 1999 instead of 2000. But I've been trying to stop correcting people, because, well, why be a jerk all the time?

But now I'm irritated by the chorus of correction-minded people. As Mulder said on the X-Files once, "No one likes a math major, Scully." Well, that's what I'm told he said. Okay, I read it in a .signature.

Anyway, the article is here. There's a sort-of-rebuttal next to it, but I didn't write that part.

By the way, the look of this site will probably change as I get some idea what I want it to look like. I kind of like the "LOGO", but it'll probably have to go.
